Enrichment for Humans: Monarch Metamorphosis
When a caterpillar changes into a butterfly, It goes through a process called metamorphosis. During metamorphosis, the caterpillar builds a cocoon around itself and completely changes its body into a butterfly. Many animals go through a big metamorphosis to change from a juvenile into an adult. In this activity, we’ll explore how we humans change—or go through a metamorphosis—just like a butterfly does.
