The culvert at the entrance of Lemur Lane just off Erwin Road is scheduled to be replaced this fall. Lemur Lane (the main public entrance to the Duke Lemur Center) will be closed to all traffic beginning October 20 and is scheduled to remain closed through late December or — depending on weather, etc. — possibly longer. Signage will be posted to redirect guests to the DLC’s back (staff) entrance off Cornwallis Road.
UPDATE 12/12: Due to unexpected delays, the contractor estimates that Lemur Lane will be closed through late January, one month longer than previously expected.
