Join us on March 29 or April 5 @ 1:00 p.m. to explore the important role of enrichment and training here at the DLC! Based on over 50 years of lemur care expertise, we will share our best practices for ensuring our lemurs live long, fulfilling lives. You’ll help create enrichment and watch the lemurs enjoy your creations in person, not to mention seeing behind-the-scenes examples of our positive reinforcement training!

This amazing workshop will include:

Customized educational programming
A special tour focusing on the workshop theme
In-depth presentation and Q&A with a lemur enrichment expert
Exclusive footage of lemurs at the DLC and in the wild
Behind-the-scenes activities and views of our lemurs
Amazing training demonstrations
Complementary beverages and snacks
A take-home gift

Please note that because this program will include behind-the-scenes components and high-level discussions of enrichment and training, all participants must be at least 12 years of age. All participants that are 12-17 years old must have a waiver completed by a legal guardian, and a supervising adult (though not necessarily a legal guardian) also registered to participate in the workshop. If you or someone in your party is not of age to participate in this workshop, don’t worry! We plan to include Wild Workshops for all ages in this new educational series, so stay tuned for more options!

Additional details: This workshop will have a maximum of 16 registrants. This program will run “rain or shine,” but if dangerous inclement weather occurs, registrants will be contacted at least 24 hours in advance to make alternate arrangements. Because of the behind-the-scenes elements of this experience, all participants will be required to wear closed-toe shoes. Any guests requiring accessibility accommodations should please inquire at the time of registration to ensure this experience will be appropriate.
