The DLC Museum of Natural History (DLCMNH) is a research collection used to understand our evolutionary journey as primates. The story of lemurs, monkeys, and apes crosses continents and spans millions of years.

The mural on our building shows some of the amazing creatures Duke-based paleontologists have found while searching for fossil primates. All are shown at life-size so that when you visit the Museum and stand next to the mural, you can be the scale bar!

The fossil’s in the DLCMNH’s collection help researchers understand the ancient biodiversity of our planet and the role that climate change, invasive species, and environments play in evolution and extinction.
