Tour Description

The DLC's Commencement Weekend Open Format Tours utilize the same tour path as our Lemurs Live and Little Lemurs tours, and guests see the same lemurs and hear the same great info from staffers and volunteers stationed near the enclosures. But, instead of following a designated guide from station to station, visitors are encouraged to wander the path at their own pace and according to their own interests. This means that if a lemur is being especially cute you can linger by its enclosure and watch as long as you’d like; or, if a lemur is sleeping, you’ll have the freedom to pass by it and return later!

Once you have made your reservation, you can arrive any time between 9:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (if you booked the morning tour) or between 1:30 and 4:00 p.m. (if you booked the afternoon tour), and stay for as little or as long as you'd like.

Please note that the tour path closes at 12:30 and 4:30, and that guests who arrive after 12:00 or 4:00 will not have time to see the lemurs and thus will not be permitted onto the tour path. Please factor this into your arrival time.

Gift Shop

The Lemur Landing Gift Shop stocks an array of unique and highly giftable merchandise, perfect for lemur lovers young and old... including new college grads! Products range from cuddly lemur stuffies (including a sifaka and aye-aye made exclusively for us!) to apparel, paintings by lemurs, photo canvases, and native Malagasy products. Offerings vary by season.

All gifts “give back” to the lemurs at the DLC! All purchases fund the Education Department and help pay for lemur care, housing, veterinary supplies, and conservation initiatives. –So you can feel good about the products you buy!

Please stop by seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. ’til 4:00 p.m. You do not need a reservation to visit the shop, but you will need to reserve ahead of time if you’d like to take a tour while you’re here. See above or visit our tour webpage for more info. We’d love to meet you!
