Guided tours of the Duke Lemur Center:
The Lemurs Live tour is great option for school groups, retirement communities, and various organizations that would like to learn about lemurs and see the Duke Lemur Center first-hand. Click here for details.
Can’t make it out to the Duke Lemur Center? Dont’ worry, we can bring it to you! The Duke Lemur Center now offers offsite educational presentations. This is a great way to get to know more about the DLC, Madagascar, and its fascinating inhabitants. The presentations last about one hour and include a powerpoint presention accompanied by bio-facts and Malagasy artifacts. Sorry, no lemurs can visit your facility, but we will do our best making you feel like they are there!

Early Childhood Programs – Primates and Preschoolers:
Overview: The Lemur Play! program is designed for children ages 3-5 with the purpose of teaching them about behavioral enrichment and why it is so important to the lemurs’ health and happiness. This program combines education with fun parent- guided activities for the children that will motivate them to be interested in animals and science by associating learning with interactive experiences.

This program combines education with fun parent guided activities for the children that will motivate them to be interested in animals and science by associating learning with interactive experiences.
