Contest categories
Contestants may submit entries to one, two, or all three of the following categories:
Poetry contest: Why do you love lemurs? Share a photo and an original poem (written by you!) about why lemurs are so special.
Short testimonial: What does Zoboo mean to you? Did you grow up watching Zoboomafoo? Tell us how Jovian and the Kratt Brothers made a difference in your life, or how you see nature, animals, and the environment!
Original art: Show us your best lemur-inspired original artwork! Submissions must be your original artwork only.
How to enter
1. Post a photo and caption on Instagram, Facebook, and/or Twitter telling us either (a) why you love lemurs; (b) what Zoboo means to you; or (c) featuring your best lemur-inspired original artwork!
2. Use the hashtag #MeYouZoboomafoo
3. Tag @DukeLemurCenter
4. Entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM EST on Thursday, October 29, 2020.
Entries must be submitted via the DLC’s social media channels: Instagram, Facebook, and/or Twitter. There is no limit to the number of entries per entrant during the entry period.
Contestants may submit entries to one, two, or all three categories. For each category entered, contestants can tag us on one social media platform (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) for ONE chance to win; on two platforms for TWO chances to win; or on all three platforms for THREE chances to win.
By using the hashtag #MeYouZoboomafoo and tagging @DukeLemurCenter on Instagram, Facebook, and/or Twitter, you will be automatically entered in the contest.
Prizes
The winner of each category will be randomly selected and announced on October 30, 2020. Each winner receive the following:
1. Lemur swag: Lemur crossing sign; DLC logo water bottle; Coquerel’s sifaka reusable cloth face mask; ballcap with embroidered logo ($60 value)
2. Adopt a Lemur holiday gift package with plush lemur (you can designate to a gift recipient or keep for yourself; $75 value)
3. Learning Lemurs online education subscription for one year ($120 value)
4. One entry into our grand prize drawing* on October 30 for a FREE private tour in a Natural Habitat Enclosure with the lemurs (virtual or in-person options available).

Contest rules
Deadline for entries: Entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM EST on Thursday, October 29, 2020.
Announcement of winners: The winner of each category will be announced on Friday, October 30, 2020 on the Duke Lemur Center website and on the DLC’s social media accounts.
Entrants agree to allow the Duke Lemur Center to publish and/or repost, on the Duke Lemur Center website and its social media pages, any of the entries received, as well as entrant’s name and/or social media handle.
Entrants must be 18 years of age or older or, if younger than 18, have the permission of a parent or guardian to enter the contest. DLC staff are not eligible to enter.
The winner of each category will be notified via email, and the winning entry will be posted online on the Duke Lemur Center website and social media accounts.
