New for the 2015-16 school year!
Overview:
The Leaping Lemurs! Track out Science Camp is a co-ed camp designed for grades 1st through 8th and includes a mixture of classroom learning, fun interactive activities, and of course plenty of time with the lemurs! Each camp will include age appropriate modules that will guarantee an educational and fun filled time for your child! Your child will learn about all aspects of the Duke Lemur Center including research, conservation and animal care! This is a great camp for the animal lover in your family. (Note: Although campers will be in close proximity to the lemurs, touching the lemurs is never allowed)

October 5th-9th 2015 – 6th-8th graders (week-long camp only) $325
October 12th-14th 2015 – 3rd-5th graders (3 day camp, or a la carte) $65/day OR $180 for all 3 days
October 15th and 16th – 1st and 2nd graders (2 day camp, or a la carte) $65/day OR $120 for both days
Registration for March sessions opens: December 1st, 2015
March 21st-25th 2016 – 6th-8th graders (week-long camp only) $325
March 28th-30th – 3rd-5th graders (3 day camp, or a la carte) $65/day OR $180 for all 3 days
March 31st and April 1st – 1st and 2nd graders (2 day camp, or a la carte) $65/day OR $120 for both days
*Payment required at time of registration. Refunds can be obtained up to 14 days prior to the start of camp. Cancellations made within: 30 days of the camp session will receive a full refund. 14-29 days of the camp session will receive a 50% refund 0-13 days of the camp session will not receive a refund *NOTE: All refunds will take up to 45 business days.
Camp Hours:
9am-4pm – Drop off begins at 8:45am
Aftercare is available until 5:00pm for $10/per day. Any child picked up after 4:00pm will incur an extra $10 charge that day.
Misc:
*Please dress your child appropriately for the weather and ensure they are wearing closed-toed tennis shoes.
*We ask that caretakers provide a water bottle, sunscreen and insect repellent as all campers will be exposed to outdoor elements.
*Although children will be very close to the lemurs, there is no touching or handling of the lemurs per Center regulations.
*Lunch will not be provided. Refrigeration is not available; however all lunches are kept in an air conditioned room. Drinks are available for $1.00.
