The Lemur Center is open to the public by appointment only. All visitors must be on a guided tour led by a staff member or docent. It is not possible to "just stop by and see the animals." Visits can be arranged Monday through Saturday by calling the Center at 919/489-3364 x 0. During the spring and summer months it is not unusual for all of the tours to be booked up to two weeks in advance so you should make your plans early!
The gift shop is open during the normal Center operating hours which are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On Saturdays the gift shop is usually open from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. It is not necessary to have a scheduled appointment just to visit the gift shop.
