In order to keep our endangered primates safe and healthy, we regret that we cannot accommodate any unscheduled, walk-in visitors in any capacity. Please plan ahead and make a reservation before visiting to see the lemurs. We look forward to seeing you!
Holiday Closures
We will be completely closed to the public (including the gift shop) on the following dates in 2024:
Thursday 7/4
Tuesday 11/26 – Friday 11/29
Monday 12/23 – Thursday 12/26
Tuesday 12/31 – Wednesday 1/1/25
Gift shop
The Lemur Landing Gift Shop is open for in-person shopping every day but Tuesday from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST, as well as before and after all scheduled tours. Note that the gift shop is closed on Tuesdays, and on any day, you will not be able to see the lemurs when you visit the gift shop unless you also have a tour reservation.
Tours
The Duke Lemur Center offers a variety of in-person tours from May – September. All guests must have a reservation to visit the lemurs and we cannot accommodate walk-in visitors.
