Join us on Earth Day weekend (April 23-24, 2022) for our third annual Stay Away 5K, a virtual race with all proceeds benefiting lemur care and conservation! Last year, this event enlisted participation from more than 2,000 runners and lemur lovers all over the world.
We would love for you to be a part of the fun again this year—and we’d really appreciate your help spreading the word about it, too! This 5K is an important fundraiser and awareness-builder for the Duke Lemur Center’s work: learning from, caring for, and protecting lemurs – Earth’s most endangered mammals.
Here’s how you can register and help:
Register now via the 5K homepage! Your $35 registration fee benefits lemurs AND includes a Stay Away 5K commemorative t-shirt and decal. Then run or walk wherever you live, at any time during the April 23-24 weekend. Because this is a virtual run or walk, you and your family and friends can participate from anywhere in the world!
Share this race on community calendars and neighborhood listservs, and with running clubs and community organizations in your area!
