Join us on Earth Day weekend for our fourth annual Earth Day Global 5K (formerly the Stay Away 5K)! All tax-deductible donations raised through the Earth Day Global 5K will support the DLC’s internship program, training and supporting the next generation of environmental stewards!

How to Participate
Register to participate, then make plans for Earth Day weekend to run—or walk, hop, bike, or ride—a 5K, by yourself or with your pets, family, and friends! This is a virtual event, so you can participate from anywhere in the world on the date that’s most convenient for you. The race is on the honor system and the grand prize for teams is a drawing for teams with 7+ participants, so you do not need to submit your 5K times to us.
Your $35 registration fee benefits lemurs AND includes a Global 5K commemorative t-shirt printed with the winning entry from our T-shirt Design Contest. In the weeks leading up to the race, updates and news—including shipping dates for t-shirts—will be posted on our 5K Info. Hub for Participants.
Since the inaugural “Stay Away 5K” in 2020, our this virtual race has raised tens of thousands of dollars and drawn thousands of participants from around the world! Together we’ve run, walked, hiked, swam, and even ridden horses to raise awareness of lemurs and to support lemur care and conservation at the DLC.
