Play Wild Science Camp

Play Wild Science Camp: 2017

We’re no longer accepting reservations for our 2017 Play Wild science camp. But, we’ve expanded our Leaping Lemurs! Summer Science Camps to the same week as this camp (July 24-28) and we still have a limited number of slots to fill! The camp is open to rising 3rd through 8th graders. Your camper will fill the days with visits the vet, work with the keepers, learning about the primatology, biology, paleontology and evolutionary biology. And, best of all, just hanging out with the lemurs!

Since the camp spans a broad age range, we will break our teaching sessions into 3-5th and 6-8th grades, so your camper will be in smaller groups geared to his or her age level.

Contact or for more information.

Animal Jam and the DLC have teamed up for an unforgettable camp experience! Play Wild is a co-ed camp designed for grades 4th-8th and includes a mix of classroom learning, fun interactive activities, and of course plenty of time with lemurs. Get ready to learn about how the natural world and technology can come together to create cool games! Explore the Lemur Center and learn about research, conservation, and animal care. Campers will use what they’ve learned to create a video game prototype with help from Animal Jam.

5 full days. Camp begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m.
