Lemur Science! And Trivia?

What is it?

Have you ever wondered what a DLC researcher gets up to in the field? Or how to extract and preserve a 30-million-year-old primate fossil? Have you ever wanted to learn more about the unique island of Madagascar, and the DLC’s conservation efforts on-the-ground there? Or how lemurs evolved such unique traits?

This free, weekly series is hosted on Facebook Live and YouTube Live by our new virtual education partners Exploring by the Seat of Your Pants at 10:00 AM EST every Thursday. Each week, one of the DLC’s very own lemur experts will go in-depth on a lemur-related topic.

Can’t make it on Thursday mornings? Don’t worry! We’ll be posting recordings of each talk on the DLC Facebook and YouTube channels, and we’ve even provided an extra incentive to watch: We’ll be posting a trivia challenge video every few weeks, and the folks who’ve been watching our expert talks each week will have a definite advantage!

The live talks are hosted by our partners on YouTube Live, and we will post the link for each talk on the DLC Facebook page every Thursday morning. For more information, check out our Facebook event or watch all of our previous talks on our Lemur Science! And Trivia? playlist on Youtube.

What is the cost?

This is a FREE weekly series and is available at no cost to you.

How do I access the talks?

We’ll post the link for each talk on the DLC Facebook page every Thursday morning at 10:00 AM EST. Or, you can watch previous episodes on our Lemur Science! And Trivia? playlist on Youtube.
