In-kind Donations

Thank you for your interest in donating an item/items to the Duke Lemur Center! Your in-kind donation will be considered as an auction item or as part of an auction package to raise funds for the DLC through our annual fall gala. Any items that we are unable to use during the event may be used during the coming year as drawing items or door prizes at DLC events, or as special incentives and awards for the Duke Lemur Center’s hard-working volunteers, interns and students, and animal care and tour/education staff.

Donors of items valued over $500 may be recognized as sponsors on the sponsorship page of our website.

I will deliver the item and will coordinate a date and time on a weekday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to do so. (We appreciate your consideration of delivering the item during the week prior to the event - especially for larger items, as our storage space is limited.)

I am in the Triangle area and would appreciate someone picking up the item. (We will contact you to arrange a mutually doable time for this.)

No delivery is needed- Please print a gift certificate on our behalf.

Comments About Delivery

Tax Letter

If you wish to receive a tax letter from Duke University for your donated item, please include/attach a SIGNED copy of your item registration confirmation email along with the item, whether you deliver or mail it to us.
If you are a representative of a business and this is a corporate donation for which you would like a tax receipt from Duke, please also include your business card.

I will enclose/attach a signed copy of my item registration confirmation email so that the Duke Lemur Center can request a tax letter be sent to me by Duke University.

I do not need a tax letter.

A copy of your responses to this donation registration form will be emailed to you. When delivering or mailing the donated item to the Duke Lemur Center, please include/attach a copy of that email so we are clear on its value and who gave it to us.
