Additional Info:

Please dress your child appropriately for the weather and ensure they are wearing closed-toed tennis shoes. We ask that caretakers provide a water bottle, sunscreen and insect repellent as all campers will be exposed to outdoor elements.

Because this is a science camp, all activities are STEM based.

Lunch won’t be provided, so children should bring their own bagged lunches. Although refrigeration isn’t available, all lunches are kept in an air-conditioned room. Drinks (water, soda) are available at the Lemur Landing Gift Shop for $1.00.

Children picked up after 1:00 p.m. (3-day camps) or 4:00 p.m. (weeklong camps) will be subject to a late pick-up fee of $10 per half hour. The Duke Lemur Center closes at 5:00 p.m.

Although children will be very close to the lemurs, there is no touching or handling of the lemurs per Lemur Center regulations.
