The Duke Lemur Center is open for tours Monday through Saturday with varying tour times. Tours of the Center are by appointment only, and all visitors to the Lemur Center must schedule an appointment in advance of their arrival. Elementary and secondary school age children as well as college groups have discovered one of the most interesting educational experiences that the Triangle area offers. Along with the educational groups that visit the center each year, we are proud to host a wide array of special interest groups ranging from the Sierra Club to senior citizen groups to Boy and Girl scouts. The Lemur Center is a great place to hold your child's birthday party. We offer a unique setting for both a fun and educational experience. Individual attention is given to the birthday child and we always tailor the experience to the appropriate age level. The PATH (Primates and Their Homes) programs are designed for groups to enhance their experience at the Duke Lemur Center. Each age-appropriate program is followed by a tour, and provides students with an opportunity to explore the world of primates and their homes. Two programs (one for younger and one for older children) are offered year-round, other programs are offered on a rotating schedule; please see program listings for available dates.
