Early Childhood Programs – Primates and Preschoolers:

 

Lemur Play!

Overview:  The Lemur Play! program is designed for children ages 3-5 with the purpose of teaching them about behavioral enrichment and why it is so important to the lemurs’ health and happiness.  This program combines education with fun parent- guided activities for the children that will motivate them to be interested in animals and science by associating learning with interactive experiences.

Dates:

January: 9, 16, 23, 30

February: 6, 13, 20, 27

March: 6, 13, 20, 27

Duration:  9:00- 10:15

Cost:  $25/per child (Chaperone free).  Second child $20

Location:  Lemur Landing classroom/ DLC campus

Class Size:  8 children

 

Junior Explorers

Overview:  The Junior Explorers program is designed for children ages 3-5 with the purpose of teaching them about what it is like to be a real life primatologist!  This program combines education with fun parent guided activities for the children that will motivate them to be interested in animals and science by associating learning with interactive experiences.

Dates: 

January: 11, 18, 25

February: 1, 8, 15, 22

March: 1 8, 15, 22, 29

Duration:  11:00-12:15

Fee:  $25/per child (Chaperone free).  Second child $20

Location:  Lemur Landing classroom/ DLC campus

Class Size:  8 children
