You can help care for the lemurs!

While the average cost to house, feed, and provide needed veterinary treatment, daily care and training for one lemur is approximately $7,400 per year, it helps all our lemurs and the lemurs in Madagascar when donors invest in a single animal. While all lemurs stay here at the Lemur Center, for anywhere from $50 – $1,000, a person may receive a packet of information about a single animal or have us send a packet of information to a friend or relative. The packets contain a picture of “your” lemur, information about that lemur, facts about the species, a certificate announcing your new relationship with your lemur, and a free pass to Duke Lemur Center. The packets are loads of fun, and the donations make a very real difference in our ability to care for the lemurs at the Center and in our ability to learn all we can about lemurs in general, so we can do everything possible to protect them.
