Slender Loris
Slender lorises cannot jump, but with their long arms and legs, they can bridge significant distances. Click image for larger version.

Related Species :

The slow loris (Nycticebus coucang) and pygmy slow loris (Nycticebus pygmaeus) live in the same general area, and are similar in behavior to the slender loris.

Adult Size : 0.3 - 0.6 pounds

Natural Range : Indochina peninsula: Vietnam, Laos, Kampchea, Malaysia, China and the Hainin Island.

Social life : Solitary nocturnal forager

Habitat : Tropical rainforest, dry semi-deciduous forest, scrub and montane forest and swamp areas

Diet : Insects, young leaves, shoots, hard-rind fruits and flowers, occasional eggs and small vertebrates

Lifespan : 15 years

Sexual maturity : 10 months

Mating : Every 9.5 months

Gestation : 166 - 169 days

Number of young : 1 - 2 offspring every 9 - 10 months
